Valkaria is one of the many townships in Brevard County that is great for residential and industrial new-comers, because of its small size. Since July 25, 2006, the towns of Grant and Valkaria have been merged together to form the combined Grant-Valkaria, and have proved to be highly successful. Grant-Valkaria can be found on highway US-1, along the Indian River Lagoon, and features many of the same naturalistic amenities of the original fishing and agricultural village established in 1925. Grant-Valkaria also boasts a wonderful par-72 golf course, and access to local and international airports in the Brevard County area.
